Good News and Good Deeds Go Together
“…to become an indispensable part of our community…”
To ignite a passion for local cross-cultural outreach, equipping all believers and ministries at Christian Fellowship Church (CFC) to be actively involved in fulfilling The Great Commission. To provide leadership and guidance for the involvement in local and regional ministry opportunities in order to significantly engage the body of believers in compassion service.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. -- Mark 10:4

School Partnerships
School Partnerships - we are partnering fully with Sterling Elementary School and Sully Elementary School as our focus schools. This is because both of these schools are Title 1 schools which means that over 50% of the school population qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Work Projects - We serve by accomplishing a variety of minor home repairs and improvements both inside and outside of local homes. Painting, repairing, replacing, landscaping, mulching, home maintenance, minor electrical work, and more will be included in the tasks. You do not need to attend CFC to be a candidate to receive such help. For more information, please contact Mike Trivett.
CFC Prison Ministry
Build relationships with families with a loved one in the prison system and/or former inmates.
Jail/Prison Ministry - One of Jesus' mandates in Mathew 25 was to 'visit those in prison'. This ministry manifests in annual Christmas gifts to the children of incarcerated persons who live in Loudoun County; quarterly fellowship events sponsored by CFC Local Outreach; and mentoring of children; women-to-women and men-to-men discipleship prior to; just after; and for an extended period after their release. We have established the following ideals/standards for every family we have the privilege of walking thru this journey with: 1: Attending a local bible preaching, bible teaching church regularly; 2: Positive, spiritually-based, self-esteem/self-respect and identity in Christ; 3: Strong work ethic; 4: Financial integrity; 5: Quality/effective parenting skills; 6: Affirming interpersonal relationships; 7:Appropriate godly relationships and healthy marriage.
Mentors Needed to Support Ministry with Loudoun Christian Justice Mission (LCJM) - The LCJM provides spiritual support to residents of the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and has recently launched an effort to help returning citizens achieve a successful re-entry back into the community. CFC is partnering with the LCJM to provide mentors to work one-on-one with men and women who are completing their sentences and who are seeking Christian mentors to encourage lifestyle changes and accountability. Training is provided. For further information or to express an interest, please contact Roger Menzel at Roger Menzel at jailministry@cfcwired.org or you may contact Mike Trivett, CFC Director of Outreach mtrivett@cfcwired.org
Operation Homefront
Operation Homefront - We, here at Christian Fellowship Church, have a true heart for the military and their families. We engage year-round in support of Operation Homefront and their local efforts in serving the families in the Metro DC area and beyond. Operation Homefront provides emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind and to wounded warriors when they return home. A nonprofit 501(c)(3), Operation Homefront leads more than 4,500 volunteers in 30 chapters nationwide and has provided critical assistance to more than 45,000 military families in need. The Operation Homefront website is: http://www.operationhomefront.net For more information, please contact Theresa Frazier, Program Coordinator (OH) at Theresa.Frazier@OperationHomefront.org or 703-421-9033.
Food Pantries
Food Pantry - We do two major food drives per year. The first one typically takes place during the lent season leading up to Easter and benefits the work of Loudoun Hunger Relief. This is strategic in that just after the pantry's shelves are empty leading into Easter we, thru God's people fill the shelves!
The second food drive is part of the Backpack Buddies program which benefits children right here in Loudoun County thru our school partnerships. Backpack Buddies is a program to feed students who largely depend on school lunches as their primary food source. About 1 in 4 school children in Loudoun County are uncertain where their next meal will come from. The program provides food items such as cereal, fruit cups, soup, and snack bars that can be prepared by children when they are home alone.
Community Development
Community Development - We engage directly in communities and apartment complexes for the sole purpose of building relationships and, thus, building community. This features about 4 events per year sponsored by CFC Local Outreach with the opportunity to volunteer year-round for the betterment of the community and to share God's love.
