Markaz Al-Bishara Ministries, which means Center of Good News in Arabic, is a ministry located in the northern city of Tamale in Ghana, Africa has been one of CFC’s partners in global outreach for more than 20 years.

The ministry works in a predominantly muslim area, where ~90% of the population believes in Islam.  Among the many ministries, ranging from church planting, education, vocational and maternal support for women, support for orphans, health and nutrition, Markaz Al-Bishara puts on a kids camp at the Radach Lodge which is owned and operated by the  ministry.

Each year CFC supports the camp by providing scholarships for kids, funding for the camp, and sends a team to help as counselors.  This year 550 children from all over northern Ghana, as well as some of the surrounding countries in West Africa such as Benin and Burkina Faso, gathered to spend 4 days having fun, playing sports, doing crafts, worshiping, singing, and dancing as they learned that “God knows me”.

308 children made commitments this year.  Pray for them as they go home, some to homes that are hostile to the Gospel.  Pray for the many pastors as they work in the rural areas, preaching and discipling these kids.
