It was a gorgeous day—sunshine pouring down, skies wide open, with just a crisp bite in the air that made it feel all the more like a fresh spring morning. And it felt like exactly what it was: a gift. The staff and volunteers at CFC had been praying bold prayers, and God showed up in full color. The sun stayed faithful from start to finish, setting the perfect stage for everything that was about to unfold.

The Easter Egg Hunt was safe and exciting for all the littles. But let’s be honest—CFC had way more than just plastic eggs up its sleeve this year. Obie kept the energy high and the crowd informed, whether he was announcing the next round of story time, shouting out lost-and-found items, or simply hyping up the next activity.

Story time, led by our wonderful children’s ministry team, was a special moment repeated throughout the day. These bite-sized teachings on the story of Jesus were tailored for little hearts to understand and enjoy. It was beautiful to see families sit, listen, and reflect—even in the midst of all the energy around them.

One character that had everyone talking was the Roman soldier. “Don’t let them tell you I fell asleep! I did not fall asleep!” he insisted when asked about the tomb. “I had one job—guard the tomb so Jesus wouldn’t get out.” He looked around before lowering his voice. “But in the night, an angel came. Rolled the stone away like it weighed nothing. And now—I’m a witness! Jesus really did rise from the dead! He is alive!” Yes, He is!

This year’s Eggstravaganza wasn’t just an event—it was a vibrant example of the church being the church. From planning to execution, we saw hands and hearts come together across generations and ministries. It was a picture of what it means to be better together. Volunteers served with joy, creativity, and purpose. Families from both the community and the church body mingled as one.

We’re so thankful for every person who gave their time, talent, or even just a smile to make this event unforgettable. This is what it looks like to advance His kingdom—through fun, family, service, and love. Until next year—He is risen, indeed!
