This Thanksgiving, we witnessed the incredible power of partnership and generosity in action. Thanks to Tree of Life, one of our newest faith partners, and 90 CFC families, we delivered 142 Thanksgiving meals to families in our community across Ashburn, Sterling, and Leesburg.
That’s TRIPLE what we accomplished last year!
Here’s what it took to make this happen:
Why do we do it this way? Because delivering food is just the beginning. We ask families about their Thanksgiving plans, we pray with them, and we remind them they are loved and seen.
Of the many stories from this weekend, one stands out:
“When our family saw all the food we were providing, the father began to tear up. Then one of the sweet little girls ran off and came back with a gift—a handfull of Skittles. That simple gesture spoke volumes about gratitude and love.”
This is what community looks like. This is what hope feels like.
Thank you to everyone who gave, served, and prayed. You made a difference that will be remembered far beyond Thanksgiving Day.
Together, we are reaching people with the love of Christ—one meal, one prayer, one family at a time.
